Why Now?
Are you ready to Be More Extraordinary? There are two things entrepreneurs need to keep top of mind: first, acting at the moment and second, understanding goals. This week’s 2 Ideas and 1 Playlist focus on these two crucial aspects.

1. Deadline vs. Goal Line
Today is 12 weeks to New Year.
For many people the New Year is a Deadline; the day they transition from old ways and start putting actions in place to finally accomplish their goals.
With this mindset, the days leading up to the deadline are not part of their day-to-day strategy to achieve their aspirations.
Now, if you were a marathoner the day of your race is the Goal Line. You would use the next 12 weeks to prepare and train for that Goal Line. Each day’s actions, strategies, and decisions would be as important, and necessary, as the race day itself.
Imagine what can be achieved in 12 weeks starting today. The seasons will change and the Earth will travel a quarter of the way around the sun.
Set a Goal Line for 12 weeks from today and start putting actions into place which will support it.
2. Why Now?
This is the most overlooked question you should start using.
"Why now, should I reach out to investors?"
"Why now, should I find a partner?"
"Why now, should I pivot?"
It feels good to jump at the urgent because when we do we get to feel a sense of achievement knowing something is done.
"Why now?" is a good litmus test for our reactions.
"Why now am I frustrated with …"
"Why now am I anxious about …"
"Why now?" is the question that will help you better understand yourself, your business, and your goals.
